Not sure if we would be a good fit to work together? Schedule a 30-minute (free) consultation and we can decide after our conversation if we are a good fit
Frequently Asked Questions
Why coaching? Working with someone who can remain unbiased to support you with issues that are impacting your life is helpful. I am a therapist that is going to encourage you to challenge yourself and go through the suck, not merely go around it. You show up, we will do the work.
What if I am not sure about us being a good fit together, what do I do? Whether it is me, or anyone else, I encourage you to schedule a consultation. Whether it is me, or someone else…schedule a consultation first. I offer a 30-minute (free) consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other.
What happens if we decide to work together? I will send you the paperwork via email or USPS and we will schedule an initial session. Completed paperwork will need to be received prior to our first appointment.
What will my first appointment look like? What will additional appointments look like? The first one to three sessions will be more questions than continuing therapy sessions. This allows me to gain a better idea of who you are, strengths and challenges. Additional sessions will be focused on areas where you are seeking improvement and growth.
Do I only provide telehealth? I provide both in-person and telehealth sessions. My physical office is located in Cary, North Carolina.
Interested in attending Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR) Training
QPR is a course that teaches participants how to help colleagues and others who may be in crisis. The course is 90-minutes and participants will leave the training with skills and tools to ask the right questions, influence someone to get help and information on referring to the appropriate resources/supports when needed.

Knowing that we need help can be hard. Asking for help can be even harder. I can assure you that whether we meet in person or virtually, you will feel comfortable to be able to unpack and process the things that are hard and may even be holding you back from living the life you want to live. Together, we will work together and create a plan that is tailored for you, not a cookie cutter, one size fits all type of approach.
I do believe laughter is an important part of life and think therapy provides opportunities for reflection, insight, growth and yes…some laughter. My therapeutic approach: straight-forward and reflective. I also understand that sometimes things are hard and having someone to process the hard things with, without judgment, is the best thing that you can do for yourself.
I earned my Master of Social Work, Master of Education and Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina State University. Outside of formal education, I have received training in a variety of therapeutic models with primary areas of focus being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy strategies.
I am from a small town in Montana. After serving in the US Army at Ft. Bragg with the 108th Military Police Company (Air Assault/Airborne), I now proudly call North Carolina HOME.
